My name is Gun Karlsson and the name of my kennel is Salltorps. Me and my husband Sven bought our first tervueren in 1988. Her official name is KORAD LP Wirwelwinds Boogie-Woogie ( KORAD means that she has passed an extensive mentality test, and LP is an Obedience Diploma ). When we bought Boogie we had no intention of breeding puppies, but as we kept hearing what an extraordinary great tervueren we had the idea presented itself. When she had recieved a National CC as well as the KORAD title with good points ( 185 ) we decided to have her mated.

After having seen SUCH (Swedish Show Champion) KORAD LP Continental´s Hercules the choice of male was made. On februari 10th 1992 the first litter was born at Salltorp, 8 puppies with names that begin with an F. The reason why we had the litter at that time was because we wanted another dog for ourselves. The second bitch on the farm was called SLCH (Swedish Obedience Champion) LP Salltorps Frida. Frida was a wonderful lady who loved to run, unlucky she died in a motor accident in Mars 2000. She had never been mated.

The 3rd bitch at Salltorp is SLCH KORAD Salltorps Maxie . She was born on November 3rd 1996 with 4 littermates ( sadly enough one had an accident when she was just 5 weeks and had to be put down ). Today there are 4 dogs from Salltorp with names that begin with an M. The father of the litter is SBCH (Swedish Working Dog Champion) SUCH KORAD TJH (Rescue Dog) Fon de Clair Perfect Winner, whom I thought was perfect for Boogie.

Boogie has retired from breeding, and Maxie has taken her place. Maxie is, along with her Obedience Champion title, SPH III and has won 1 National CC and 2 CQ;s. Also she helps me with the cattle around milking time as well as goes an occasional match with the sheep when they need herding.

Breeding goals: My aim is to breed good-looking, healthy dogs with a great working capacity. To be more specific I want my dogs to look good enough to become SUCH, and their working capacity should allow them to win the Swedish Championships in tracking, searching or message ( I´ve never been interested in defence but perhaps they´re good enough for that as well? ). Needless to say I also want them to be perfectly healthy!

I don´t believe in "next-to-kin"-breeding. It may work well for the individual breeder for a while, but it does not benefit the breed as a whole.
